Those "in the know" have called Croatia "Europe's number one camping destination". The country boasts diverse landscapes, a thousand islands and islets, peninsulas and bays, all making Croatia magnificent and idyllic. Of a total of 127 campgrounds in Croatia, nearly 90% are situated along the Adriatic Coast, or on islands, with the remainder located near lakes and rivers.
Dalmatia is the most attractive part of the country due to its nature, combined with its diverse coast. Most campgrounds are located along the shore within easy reach of the beaches. Campground quality, on the whole, corresponds to European criteria, particulary concerning availability of space and facilities. Prices are among the most reasonable in the Mediteranean. It must be mentioned that camping outside of designated camping areas is prohibited.
Camping is the most popular form of accomodation in Croatia, 33% of tourists visiting Croatia stay in campgrounds. Campers are always eagerly received as guests on our caost.
Of particular significance to camping tourists are the 1,777 kilometres of coastline and 1,135 islands, sheer and rugged cliffs, and pine oasesgifts of an undisturbed nature whose beauty, colour and aroma will delight the sences.
